The Pain That Woke Me Up
Hey friends,
About three months ago, I developed a case of tennis elbow. Here's the thing—I used to be a physical therapist. So I know exactly what to do to treat it. But did I do what I should have? Nope.
I figured if I was just more careful, I could keep lifting weights and push through. But instead of it healing, I made it worse. Eventually, I had to stop lifting altogether.
And boom—there it was. Shadow!
In a totally unrelated moment, I caught myself judging someone in my life: "They know what to do, why aren't they doing it?" That's when it hit me: I was doing the same thing. My double standard, my blind spot—that's the stuff of shadow work.
Shadow work isn't just about understanding your psyche. It's about becoming your own best therapist. When we notice the gap between our values and our behavior, we can do something about it. That's how we grow.
This is exactly what my SA360 coaching system helps people do. It blends developmental psychology, mindfulness, and shadow work to help you identify where you're leaking power. Click here to participate in the pilot.
As always, I wish you abundant health, happiness, and prosperity,
Mark
